The Office for Fair Access (OFFA) is the public body that helps to promote and safeguard fair access to higher education for people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We’re looking for an exceptional individual to support our Information Manager as we move OFFA’s information and files to the National Archives and the new Office for Students, which will take on OFFA’s functions from April 2017.
This will be a challenging and interesting role where you will contribute to OFFA’s work in managing changes to the file plan, access controls and the retention and disposal schedule of our records management system, assist in information rights (FOI) and data protection work.
You should have experience of managing information and records within electronic systems, and have experience of change management. You will have a confident and positive approach when working with colleagues in your professional role as an information officer. With excellent communication skills, you will have excellent attention to detail and a passion for producing accurate work.
OFFA is a small public records organisation with 31 members of staff. You will need to work flexibly to contribute across the team, managing tight deadlines and rapidly developing priorities.

If there is an adequate candidate pool after the initial 10 working days advertised, i.e. by midnight on the 21 June 2017, we will close the vacancy on that date. Therefore internal candidates and candidates currently employed on permanent or fixed term contracts within the Civil Service or accredited NDPBs should apply within the first 10 days of the vacancy being advertised.
