How to access the HEFCE extranet

You will need to use the HEFCE extranet to:

The HEFCE extranet system has changed to improve security and usability, and extranet accounts are now managed by one or more ‘user administrators’ in your institution. This eliminates the need for the ‘group keys’ system that was formerly used, and allows your institution to have control over user accounts and access to groups on the extranet.

Your Vice Chancellor/Principal has nominated one or more user administrators to be responsible for the administration of HEFCE extranet accounts, groups and users for your institution.

If you are the administrator for your institution and require further guidance/assistance, please contact Joshua Tiley by email on j.tiley@hefce.ac.uk or phone 0117 931 7152.

If you do not currently have an access agreement, but wish to submit your first one, please email enquiries@offa.org.uk for more information.

To use the extranet you will need your institution’s administrator (see above) to add you to the access agreement or monitoring submission group. Your administrator will be able to add you to a group shortly after we issue guidance for either access agreements or monitoring.
